What a weekend for weddings! True summer weather finally arrived in Vancouver. I arrived at Gail's parents' home to find it to be the calmest getting ready morning ever. I got her and her sister (MOH) ready in no time with no interruptions. How rare. I hope it was a sign for how the rest of their day was going to be.

Congratulations Brenda & Tim!
I had the pleasure of applying make-up on a beautiful bride and her bridal party over the past weekend. It helps that I've known all of them since I was 8yrs old and have done make-up on them several times over the years for other weddings. What was so great was that I had full artistic freedom to do anything I liked and the bridal party was fully on board with whatever the bride wanted (though there was an initial shock when I said I was going green on them). What was even more fun was that some of these girls almost never get dressed up unless they absolutely have to. So seeing them out of their element and revealing them to the rest of our friends and their families as women who 'clean up well' is why I love doing what I do.
Since my own wedding, I have way more appreciation for others' when it comes to planning the details. This was no exception. From the 9 page itinerary, to the food, to the scrapbooking of the guestbook AND photobooth photos, it all ended with us partying hard on the dancefloor until after 1AM (that's late for us 30+). In other words, fun! Question now is, who's next?
